On January 4, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. (PST) the Rose Bowl Game will host the BCS National Championship, between USC and Texas once again showcasing the best of collegiate football in "The Granddaddy of Them All."® The Rose Bowl will be broadcast exclusively on ABC and on ESPN radio.
Plus the Option and Zone-Read doesn't work in the NFL
Somebody has gotta teach Bush to carry the ball in his outside arm.
Vince has probably practiced laterally the ball a thousand times in his career. How many times as running back Reggie Bush practiced it? Apparently not enough. His job is to run with the ball.
College coaches don't get review flags
(USC should have punted.)
The way Vince was playing, I wouldn't have taken the chance to put the ball in his hand either. Pete Carroll made the right choice (especially since they were running through Texas like butter). They just didn't execute or Texas made a great stop. That's all there is to it.
You can have Joey Harrington. The Lions need a QB more than the Boys do!
LOL - Texas has 3 all americans on their offensive line alone. You may not realize this, but Mack Brown along with Phip Fulmer is the best recruiter in the college game.
I give Fulmer the edge over just about anyone else becaue Tennessee doesn't have much in state talent like Texas, Florida and Georgia do, so he goes out nationally and is able to get recruit head to head against Texas and USC in their own states.
Texas is a very talented team.
Then that would be one call the booth guys blew. But to say the game was rigged? Come one.

Coaches have no "red flag" prerogative in college ball.
White reminds me a lot of former Giants running back Rodney Hampton. Not the quickest guy on the field, but a solid, consistent performer who was among the most reliable backs in the NFL for several years back in the 1990s even though he didn't play behind great offensive lines.
USC went into that game with a big chip on their shoulder and thought they showboat and still come away with the win.
They never ran into someone of VY's caliber before.
He was unbelievable, and I'm a Sooner fan.
I never said the game was rigged
It's just calls, I'm a fan of limited review (which the NFL has) and not what College has
I saw two major blown calls. Vince's lateral and the interception on USC's final first half drive that was ruled an incomplete pass.
I would be a Texan in 30 seconds!!
Good on you, AnnaZ!
Have fun!
How many calls did they get?
I would be enbarrassed, but then I don't have a dog in this fight.
Nothing here in Beaumont, except for the neighbors hooting and hollering.
LOL!!!
You are so unbelievably wrong.
Did we watch the same game?
You might be right. But a team that is looking to change a guy's position like that probably won't even think of drafting him until the fourth round. Way too much uncertainty in that.
