Man, don't let the facts get in the way of an ESPN story.
I have a question to pose for comments. Has anything been worse for sports than ESPN?
I am a Mich Super fan but this season I was rooting for Penn St. They were robbed in the last seconds by Mich and should be undefeated. Great game this one!
That really ticked me off. That trashy half time show really didn't fit in with the spirit of the game.
That doesn't look like the trophy they showed in front of the Rose Bowl. Maybe my eyesight is bad, but it looked like it was made of crystal. That one you have pictures of looks like it's made of metal. I'm not sure I have it straight yet.
I had to switch it off. GO PENN STATE!
........and I don't think you're stupid.
You know the answer to that. LSU and USC split the championship. SC won the AP poll and LSU got the BCS trophy partly cause they could score on teams like North Dakota State School for Mining and Divinity. What week does LSU face Sam Houston St. next season?
Look . . . here's Pete holding up that same piece of crystal last year. How come he's not celebrating with the one made of metal? If this is his third National Championship, then why wasn't he holding up the metal thing he held up the year before? Will he get a third metal thingy this year or a third crystal thingy? I'm still confused.
Well, maybe you are stupid afterall.
I thought LSU got the trophy because they won the National Championship Game against Oklahoma. I forget, who did USC beat to win their National Championship last year?
Safety!!!!
Suck on that Bowden!!
Well, ESPN must be confused or stupid then. I'll go back and watch it again, but I'm pretty sure it was the crystal thingy that they said was the National Championship trophy. You mean there's two National Championship trophies? Which game does a team have to win to get the other National Championship trophy and why isn't ESPN showing shots of that trophy in front of the stadium in which it is going to be won?
LSU won the BCS against Oklahoma. The Trojans played Michigan in the Rose Bowl to earn their share of the National Championship. Last year, USC Played the Snooners but the game was called in the second half because of the "mercy rule"
So LSU won the BCS in 2003, but USC won the National Championship in 2004, yet they both held up the same trophy?
Hmmm . . . things are getting clearer. So if some team other than USC wins the National Championship Game they win the BCS, but if USC wins the National Championship Game then they win The National Championship? So in other words, it's whatever USC, it's fans and the press want it to be at the time? Do I have it right?
My heart is pounding. I have to keep telling myself it's just a game (but it really isn't).
Of course that's all they needed a few minutes ago.
Unbelievable! Kelly misses again!
Wow!
What a friggin' game!
