Many liberal blogs have been google bombing Santorum's good name. For those of you that don't know what a google bomb is, it is the work of many that use the fact that google also weights the relative important of a site to a keyword by how many sites link to it with a particular keyword. The problem the liberals have link Santorum's name to a site that tries to define it was a perversion, and so far they have been successful, I call on all on Free Republic that have a blog to please link to Santorum's real web site, under the text "Santorum" so that his own page will come up first instead of the pro-homosexual page that the liberals have linked it to as of now.
BTTT
bump
I fear he is quite vulnerable in the next election but I'm glad he stands by his principles (mostly).
i bet alot on this board helped out with this.
I know it is a massive job, but every bit does help, if a lot of people here do it, and they pass it on to others maybe we could get the critical mass we need to.
Everytime his pal Arlen opens his mouth Santorum loses a percentage point for his reelection to the senate.
Did you see that 5th link that explains who is upset with Santorum and why?
"The letter claims gay marriage is of greater concern than terrorism. I know it may sound like a huge exaggeration, particularly in light of the attack on America, but this may truly be the most important letter I ever write you, Santorum wrote. Although the letter was written in 2001, it only came to public light Wednesday following the Pennsylvania Republicans highly publicized interview with the Associated Press in which he equated homosexuality with incest, polygamy and adultery."This fight may be hard to win between the people who think Santorum belittled the fight against terrorism and the pro-gay people offended that he supposedly insulted homosexuality.
Now I don't think Santorum thought he was doing anything extreme but it's telling that most of the sites working together to smear (no pun inteneed) his name are not political sites but instead are sexual and/or humor sites. There are a lot more of those sites on the net than conservative sites available to respond.
Santorum has recently very publicly retreated from the 'intelligent design' movement he once championed. After the federal judge in Harrisburg struck down the Dover School District's attempt to add 'intelligent design' into the science curriculum, Santorum said he disagreed with the school board for mandating intelligent design in science classes.
In 2002 he wrote that 'intelligent design' "is a legitimate scientific theory that should be taught in science classes." Santorum was sitting on the advisory board of the conservative Thomas More Law Center, which defended the Dover school board and turned the case into a national referendum on creationism in the classroom. Two weeks ago he changed his tune and criticized the law center, saying it "made a huge mistake in taking this case." And he announced he would resign from the Thomas More board.
Too true. He's a politician, first and foremost.
