It's not like this is government time and materials.
Many people use company stuff after hours or even during hours -- when you are putting in 60-80 hour weeks it isn't possible to separate "your" stuff from "company" stuff.
Most companies put this down as a perk and don't care so long as you aren't doing anything criminal.
As criminal as I think the DNC is, this is no big deal.

I agree with you completely--
except that the DNC would cut no one the kind of slack that you reasonably suggest. Would they be "nice" to us? This is one of the problems with our side being our side--and I wonder what Ann Coulter would suggest? She has some wise things to say about the perils of being nice to liberals.
Maybe it's time not to be so nice.

Companies run usually run screaming from making political statements - in the case of employees using company resources (email addresses with somebody@intel.com) it is almost an explicit endorsement of the related activities.
