Family in the Midland area had the air conditioning on yesterday, it was that hot.
Prayers for all in the danger zone.

And I'm sitting in my study in Kempner TX listening to the pops of firecrackers being set off by idiots about half a mile away...

Then my mapping app is wrong. I see 50th & Sooner as being just to the west of Tinker. CNN has a videographer from KOCO on saying its also broken out near 67th & Sooner, which is just NW of the GM plant, according to MS Streets & Trips.

This reminds me of the Oakland Hills fire. It looks like Dante's Inferno at night from the air.

Don't worry, Fox News Channel will be all over the story TOMORROW.
The day AFTER the big fires here in the Dallas area, FNC was running regularly "Breaking News!" gongs about "New video from fires in Arlington, TX" and leaving the impression that houses were burning at that moment. In reality the fires had been out for almost a day.
Even Fox News is infected with a pack of media liars and frauds.

Tinker has survived a major fire before. My husband was raised in OKC. He says that the worst day of his life when he was a child Tinker caught fire (his mother was working there) the President died and a major tornado struck all while he was at home sick all alone and heard all of this on the radio.

To: WestCoastGal
Don't know. I'm here in NJ where we still have snow on the ground.
