I disagree with your take on this, because this is not a winning issue for most Dem politicians. Sure, the crazed San Francisco lefties will attack Bush for the investigation of this leak, but Dem congressmen in New Jersey, New York and in the midwest won't say much about this investigation. They will completely avoid this issue or give the investigation some mild support. Unbiased polls show strong support for NSA surveillance of terrorism suspects, and smart politicians pay attention to unbiased polls.

I like your version much better, and I'm not one of the Freepers who is constantly pessimistic.

There's just something about this issue that really grabs me, and I almost consider it a personal thing, and I'm not sure I can explain why.
