In a more "libertarian" society, you can easily negotiate for food/clothing/shelter than you can in todays litigious society.

There are no Robin Hoods. Only thieves.

I'm not certain that follows... If A has something that B needs right the hell now, but A does not wish to part with it... how will "negotiation" serve B?

the exigencies of survival trump ethics, and all other such forms of civilized veneer, when push comes to shove.

so, please: elaborate
