Hobbes is her own self. She comes to me if and when she feels the need, but for the most part, she doesn't "need" my presence except to provide food and water...
Cats are independent creatures - dogs on the other hand completely reliant on their masters.

They were revered as a symbol of Bastet. On the practical end, they were quite good at killing the legion of snakes in the Nile Delta area.

They are both children but at different ages.
A dog is comperable to a child under 5. They need a lot, they are generally happy, gregarious and companionable.
Cats are teen agers. Moody, independent and self centered.
