I believe that to be true, although I posed the question, anyway. Of course, if (since?) it is true, what implications does that truth bring to bear upon each of us? THAT is the thorny question, and the one which so many spend their entire lives avoiding.
If they don't respond to the question in some way now, they will have to respond to it in some way "then." We are each responsible for ALL of our choices. Past, present or future.

When we surrender our responsibility, when we say we are not capable of facing the consequences of being allowed to smoke, or own a handgun, or ride a motorcycle without a helmet, or drink hot coffee in a moving automobile, then we have gained nothing and given away all. There are people who will gladly assume our responsibility in order to have our freedom and our political power. Its a buyer's market.
