[history]
China will never go down, and don't think you can banish communism. Because the people won't let it. They know they are the last standing, they are the only ones left. America is in a decline while China's climaxing, America will go down. We are just done with our prime, if anything, we were going into a depression since 1992 (and don't say you don't know that year). Communism is the American's medias' worst nightmare, because of censorship. I hope we all have to read one newspaper and wipe my butt with one brand of tiolet paper. I hope we all die for our next generations to wear the red armband. We deserved 9/11, and they enjoyed it. You probably hate me now, I know, you just still think like its 1945, well too bad its 2005. We only stand to fall.

Even worse is 26kbps after a week of broadband... even if I rarely had time to use it.

That's awful! I guess I shouldn't complain about complete & total overload. As if I didn't have tight deadlines to meet, I discovered yesterday afternoon that my laptop somehow acquired a rather nasty virus during the meetibgs. I need to continue to work on it in the interim, but am working around the need to get on the Internet with it for some operations.

Broadband can ruin you... It can sure spoil one. I had to turn the Linux box loose for an hour online just downloading Firefox 1.5.

"What prompted it?" Previous conversation. Darks seemed to be implying at one point that he was tryihg to fax himself.
The poem was a cautionary warning about what might happen if the power failed in the middle of the process.

Yah...once I decided I had had enough WAITING for everything to load on dial-up, I decided I needed to get serious about the internet.
The bad thing is that I can't get total service in town from my phone company, and don't want it from COX. They suck big time...

Yah. We have a couple non-satellite options here, but the service is really, really poor. And expensive. Best for now to stick with slow dialup. At least we have a free slow dialup service here (nocharge.com).

I've thought of going to people pc for mine...they're reasonable and fairly good. But I don't know if I could handle dial-up again.
Some days, even ethernet is too slow for me...but that may just be my perception. :o|
