Guess they'll have to pass some laws requiring people to stay....
Or maybe they could raise taxes again. Tax hikes solve everything, right?
The states you cite are losing seats to places like California, where there is a net outmigration of American citizens, but a huge net inmigration of illegal aliens.
If illegals were sent home, or not counted in the census, then Ohio, Mass and NY would not be losing seats.

"You realize that all this means is that the elites will have to eliminate democracy, if it is no longer a useful way for them to hold onto their power."
The uber elite and super rich liberals are facists and don't really believe in democracy. If the trends continue, and they somehow get $inator Hildebea$t to be our president, they will try want you have pointed out.
Thanks.
When the PC bs is stripped away from the so called Gay Lifestyle, that lifestyle is very crude and vile.
They have to have people willing to stay after college to work in Mass. based high tech companies and they have to compete with high tech companies in more pleasant of the country.
They do. Massachusetts is not that bad tax-wise (sales tax 5%, income tax 5.3%) - compare with Alabama (sales tax 8%, income tax about 4-5%). And Massachusetts does not apply sales tax to food, medicines, and clothing. Thus the name Taxachusetts is a misnomer. It is the cost of living there [more specifically, real estate] which is a downer.
.....Now if we could just figure out a way to get rid of their Senators.....
Kennedy is due an appoplectic stroke event that will disable him.
I agree. After 16 years of Republican governors, our taxes are in the middle of the pack. States like North Carolina and Georgia tax their citizens MORE as a share on income than Massachusetts does.
We've been so successful that no one can afford a house, so young people are leaving.
Over on DU they are saying the loss of population is due to alien abduction and "hits" by Karl Rove.
God bless America; both of them.

It's obvious he's already had it.
