WASHINGTON, Dec. 22, 2005 After a four-day overseas trip that took him to four countries in the Middle East, Vice President Dick Cheney really wanted to get his iPod charged for that long return flight to Washington.
Since it is his plane, the vice president's iPod took priority and was plugged into one of the only working power outlets on Air Force Two, frustrating reporters who were trying to file stories.

One has to know how to read Governmenteese - hehe. Suspect it might be covered in detail elsewhere - i.e. 4.6. Insure that the use of military carriers for public affairs purposes complies with transportation policies promulgated by the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
I love the comment under post #113 But they could make an "emergency departure" out of some third world hell hole, with no time to board the press. Maybe just a training exercise, in case they really do need to get the VP to his "undisclosed location" in one hell of a hurry. Wouldn't that be just what they deserve - left in a 3rd world hell hole. That would give them something to grouse about, and another item to add to the list of impeachable offenses.
