Are you related to your niece? I am (my niece, not yours). I am clearly not in any fashion descended from my niece.

So all arguments for "common descent" coming from the evolution camp entail direct genetic lineage? No cousins allowed at the table for arguing common descent?

Fester, before you start arguing about science, how about learning basic English, followed by learning about science?

Arguing from ignorance is bad enough. Arguing from ignorance AND your own inability to comprehend English is far worse.

No. I am simply taking the common sense approach. One cannot be descended from someone born after you, although, you can be related to that person.
