In Safari, I get this whiney little notice every 15 minutes that says "Do you really want to stay connected??!!!?"

I looked in preferences for the off switch and can't find it. Where is the off switch hiding?

Here's what you do, do not go into preferences for Safari, but in to System Pref.

System Preferences > Network > PPPoE > PPPoE Options > Menu window opens > Un-click box "Prompt every __ minutes to maintain connection" Hope this helps.

Panerai's explanation is right... if you are connected using a highspeed connection over Ethernet... (PPPoE = PPP over Ethernet) but if you are using a phone modem the setting is in

System Preferences >> Network >> Show Internal Modem >> PPP >> PPP Options >> Prompt every __ minutes to maintain connection.
