Question: Looking ahead to this time next year, what are the top three or five accomplishment you hope to achieve and what's the best case scenario for troop levels.

Pres: This is the ultimate benchmark question. I hope the world is more peaceful, democracy takes root. People can find jobs. The job base has expanded and we need to keep it that way.

I want NO and Mississippi to be better. We've made good progress down there. Make sure levees are better than they were.

#####I have never understood why the Republicans don't get a bunch of very wealthy people and fund managers together and buy a controlling interest in these big companies that own ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, Washington Post, etc.,#####

Good Idea let's start the Free Republic leveraged buy out fund

we all throw in 5,000 dollars and buy one of the networks or NY Times ;) ( I will intvest $10,000 to get a part of the NYT)

We are loving this, right?

Now, class, what do we do when this presser is over?

We CALL the White House and tell them how GREAT he was.

We need to SUPPORT this man!

Isn't it fun to watch reporters eat their own rhetorical questions? Personally I love it when W does that. He does it so well, I hope he continues this track after the New Year. He is quite successful at blasting the leftist agenda when he actually goes on the offensive.

W has the truth on his side and all he has to do is say it...over and over and over.

I believe with each passing day that Karen Hughes back in the fold is making all the difference. Rove gets the good and the bad, but I think it's Hughes that gives the American touch.

"Question: what if any limited are there on the powers of the president during wartime and will the WOT last for decades, will we see a permanent expansion of unchecked power.

Pres: I disagree with your assertion about unchecked power. There is the check of people have sworn to uphold the law. We talk to Congress all the time. To say there's unchecked power it to not listen to what I've said. HEHEHEHE"

Way to go, Mr. President!

Maybe I'm wrong but just because the Congress authorizes war does not mean they cannot stop it also. They control the money and a war cannot be fought without money.

Be sure and ping me when the media asks Dubya about the historic elections that took place in Iraq.

What's so funny?

I thought it was kind of tongue in cheek when he said "there's always the UN". Yeah - as a last resort.

With his body language and voice and speaking, finally, he is acting presidential (after months of being battered).

This is 'The President' giving this news conference.

They [the pressers] know it.

[A significant change is presser attitudes is prevalent.]
