I find it fascinating that the biggest secrets leakers in this country all hold elected office.

"Normal" folks leaking this kind of information go to prison - for yeeeeaaaarrrrrssssss.

We keep re-electing the biggest leakers, however.

A little death at the offices of the OGW is definitely in order.

Can't we just think of some great commercials we could make? Starting with Reid's statement "We killed the Patriot Act". Then cue to people jumping out of the World Trade Center on 9/11.

A 10 second spot is all we'd need.

Notice at all the navel gazing going on in this article -- we scooped such-and-such; LA Times scooped another-such, blah blah, blah.

Never mind that all of the stories cited damaged our national security -- just that "scoops" were achieved!

Well, GOP.com put out that terrific white flag Dem commercial and I saw some Pubbies whining about it. We'd need 10 seconds, but the GOP needs a spine.

Graham is one who needs a spine. One of many.

He was on Meet the Press last Sunday calling for the ad to be taken down. So now using the Democrats own words against them is a bad thing among the RINOs. Aaargh.

Thanks for the ping.

There does seem to be a clear pattern: paint every measure to win the war on terrorism as wrongful, and try to blow it up into a scandal.

Something needs to be done about this fifth column.

If the Pubbies aren't very, very careful, they're going to be giving birth to a third party. One that will hurt Pubbies and Dems alike...

This is no big deal. I remember the Times publishing similar ominous articles about the Clinton administration just before Gary Aldrich's book came out.

Oh, wait. That never happened. Yes, I feel the utmost confidence in stating that I'm sure the NSA was used by the Clinton Administration against their political enemies. In fact, I think one, very public instance of this was Newt's cellphone call with Boehner(?) that was supposedly recorded by that innocent, little couple in FL. Yeah, right.

I see more and more calls for a third party. Just don't think it's going to work and we have to work harder at getting the Republicans back in line with their platform and behind the administration.

When it comes to the House, because of the way seats are gerrymandered, I think a third party would work very well. And once established in the House...We don't have two parties now. What we've got now is a single political class obsessed with keeping their jobs. And screw the country. If this keeps up, we'll have a third party. And the Pubbies will have done it to themselves.

President Bush mentioned that revealing classified information is a crime. I'm waiting for the subpoenas to be issued and the perp walks to begin.

Also from the NYT:

"Senator Arlen Specter, the Pennsylvania Republican who is chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said on Friday that "there is no doubt this is inappropriate" and that he would conduct hearings to determine why Mr. Bush took the action."

The fact that Bush went to bat for this buttmunch and Specter does his best to screw GW over at every turn really fries me.

WHY are we fighting this war like it's 9/10? WHY???!?!?!?!

"President Bush mentioned that revealing classified information is a crime. I'm waiting for the subpoenas to be issued and the perp walks to begin."

Right. The only way to get the idea across that we're really at war, and that loose lips do indeed sink ships, is to start arresting and prosecuting leakers, including members of congress and the press.

How long can we let this stuff go on?

My thoughts exactly. I am so angry at the commie agenda and the lack of CHARGES for TREASON. When are we going to enforce the laws of this nation? We have a clear historical mandate on what we can and cannot do in the USA in times of war. It is far past time that treason charges be used. When will the people of the USA fight back against the communist take over of our Republic?
