Pres. Bush was just on LIVE - he's mad (vanity)
12-17-05

Posted on 12/17/2005 7:26:12 AM PST by STARWISE

He's mad .. and rightfully so. Without any notice, his Sat. radio address was televised live. He's putting Congress and the press on notice that he's got the authority to do what he's done to protect US .. that Congress was notified at least a dozen times about these NSA oversights .. and that the press leaks and any such security leaks are illegal and are aiding and abetting the enemy. Whoo .. fireworks to come, and go get 'em W!

Exactly. I think he learned his lesson over the last several months letting the Dems badmouth him and Iraq without the WH responding. When he finally did over the last couple of weeks his ratings went back up. No more sitting back and taking it!

The leak was definitely timed to detract from the enormously successful Iraq elections. Someone needs to plug those leakers before they destroy the country.

Never mind. Rereading, I see the post is a comment on the tenor of the speech.

Still, comments on how this is spun appreciated.

I'll not hold my breath while I wait for the prosecutions.

Feingold seems to think that terrorists are entitled to due process and privacy while they are plotting their attacks.

Thank God he isn't going to just sit back and let the Dims and the media beat him bloody for weeks on end!

The Dims are easily discounted and defanged.

It's the RINO's that constantly stab this president and this country in the back.

Feingold and the Dems are idiots. Russ had his little reply written well before Bush spoke. Bush highlighted how the MSM and certain Dems are putting this country at risk. All Russ did is help support Bush's claim. Dems only care about politics, Bush cares about this country!

Curious attitude toward terrorists. Must've picked it up in Madison.

Well, his is the party of "The Smoking Gun," remember? They would rather the weapon be fired than to stop it from being fired in the first place.

The Dems controlled the Senate back in 2001, but were pretending to be patriotic and serious about National Defense when he notified them.

The press has been mischaracterizing the authorization for the NSA to monitor international phone calls. In fact, the laws about intelligence gathering are quite different when it involves international communications. The way the press is covering it makes it sound as if they think it is covered by the laws about domestic intel gathering which are are different. I'm sure that they're doing this on purpose to hurt George Bush as much as they possibly can whether it helps the enemy or not.

And what is being missed here, but apparently not by Pres. Bush, is that someone AGAIN has leaked key information that aids and abets our enemies. I can't wait until they find the Democrat operative(s) who did this and leaked other information (CIA holding facilities, etc) so that we can try them and hang them for treason.
