Probably some old highway flares left by a trucker? NUMEROUS "Dynamite" scares have been caused by these! In fact, I need to check and probably burn some old flares tomorrow now that I think about it..., before my home becomes the source of a major news event!

These days..., anything ignites an "Event"! Hell, I can remember using dynamite for tree stumps (but I'd never admit to fishing with it...). Pretty soon, we'll be registering the purchase of axes, hammers and any "sharp instruments" for "the public welfare"!
