Rummyfan nails it. Much better than the one with Patrick Swayze or whatever his name is. But Rummy, it's called Scrooge.

From the looks of the answers I think we may be at the upper age of the FR Members.

I noticed in #20 that you asked for three.

1) A Christmas Story
2) A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott
3) Christmas Vacation

I like the Christmas Carol with George C. Scott.

The Alister Sims version is good, but it's wildly unfaithful to the book, and the sets and acting are better in the Scott version.

I also love White Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life, and the Grinch cartoon.

Oh, and of course, Merry Christmas Charlie Brown.

2. " The Bishops Wife"
3. "A Christmas Story"

And all the cartoon Christmas specials we grew up with!!

I don't think you mean the 'original'. The first film version I am aware of came out in the 30's, and is really terrible.

You mean the Alister Sims version, right?

Mine are all cartoons, although I do like Miracle on 34th Street.

My #1 all time favorite Christmas movie is "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". The original, of course. It is a thing of perfection, and the idea that anyone would even try to remake it is a horror.

#2 Mr. Magoo's version of A Christmas Carol. I really love this and found it quite scary as a child.

#3 Of course, a Charlie Brown christmas.

I also really like my A & E Biography of Santa Claus.

Merry Christmas!
