I went to bed last night unsure of how to vote on this legislation...but today's revelation that the government listened in on thousands of phone conversations without getting a warrant is shocking and has greatly influenced my vote. [Charles Schumer]
That Schu didn't know how to vote the night before the Patriot vote shows how weak on defense he really is. That his vote would be swayed by the NYT shows how anti-American he is. For the NYT is anti-capitalism and anti-American. It is pitiful that a Senator representing a 9-11 target would vote against the Patriot Act. He is a disgrace. If he is so concerned over the rights of private citizens, why isn't he demanding that the Barrett Report be released. Now there is a real abuse of government power.

He is a disgrace. And he is a liar. He knew how he was going to vote, and he knew that the story was going to be published. He had his little speech planned.
