Lebanon was a great place when the Christians were in charge.
They were one of the first victims of this latest wave of Jihad.

Give me a logical reason why Sununu joined with the ACLU types to object to renewing the Patriot Act.
Sununu respects the Constitution.
All I DO know is that the democrats flat out rejected this act and that means it must have some good provisions in it...Frist should have forced the filibuster to begin the moment the vote came through. I'm continually amazed at how little fight the pubbies have - vote was 53-47 to PASS the ACT and because democrats are all for violating our constitutional rights that MAJORITY wins, we lose a valuable asset in the WAR AGAINST TERROR! This isn't peace time and another president could come in and change the whole patriot act law, but for now we have killers in our midst and they have ALOT to hide!
The killers want to be able to hide in plain sight and the left along with a few misguided dems want to help them hide.

I'm trying to explain the history of Lebanese Maronite Christians (Ay-rabs to those of you who took the small bus to school) to a person with a room temperature IQ and the fact that Lebanese CHRISTIANS are not the Ay-rabs who are against the US, nor do they come from the culture that wants us dead. That they, in fact, have had a close and mutually beneficial relationship with Western Christianity for over 1000 years. So, they are not the people who are jumping up and down after 9-11 and that your redneck, racist comments about Sen Sununu and all other Lebanese Christians are ignorant beyond all belief. Is that not clear, you buffoon?! This means that your comment about Sen Sununu's Ay-rab heritage is completely without foundation. It's like arguing that Protestants in Northern Ireland are members of the IRA. Just because they are of the same ethnicity and live in the same country, doesn't mean that they can't be on opposite sides. Can your little pee brain conceptualize this? Let me try this - " OK, OldFriend, some Ay-rabs are Muslim and are backward and hate us. But some Ay-rabs are Christian and even though they live in the same country as them there Muslims, they don't believe or support jihad. They are the ones that like the United States of America. See? There you go. Who's a gooood little racist? Yeah, you are."
You must have been so very proud of Senator Sununu last evening on H&C. There he was praised by Alan Colmes after offering no excuse whatsoever for his willingness to allow the Patriot Act to end in a few weeks.
Once again, you have refused to respond about your original comment concerning Sen Sununu. I find it interesting that you haven't done so. I thought that, maybe, you would have reflected on your words and recognized how tainted they were by insinuating that Sen Sununu's motives were driven by his heritage. But, obviously, you haven't, which only confirms what many of us here were so fearful of - that you are one of those in the tiny minority in the conservative movement who are truely racist and who stain the rest of us with your hate.
Despite the fact that I vehemently disagree with Sen Sununu on this subject, I am extremely proud of him and I am able to recognize that those of us who call ourselves "conservative" are not going to agree on every subject. We are not like the liberals who walk in lock-step at the orders of their leadership. Yes, I am proud that Sen Sununu is a man who will follow his conscience even when it isn't politically expedient. Ask yourself, who is he trying to please with this stance? That HUGE Arab community in New Hampshire? Please.
