CHRISTIAN GROUPS ACCUSED OF PROSELYTISING' MUSLIMS IN BANDA ACEH, INDONESIA
By Dan Wooding
Founder of ASSIST Ministries
BANDA ACEH, INDONESIA (ANS) -- Tensions between fundamentalist Muslims and Western aid workers have begun to erupt in Aceh as the tsunami-devastated Indonesian province slowly recovers, reports Sian Powell in a story written in Banda Aceh for The Australian newspaper.

Islamic activists have claimed that aid workers are secretly attempting to convert Muslims to Christianity, pointing particularly to World Vision, Aceh Relief, the International Catholic Mission and Church World Service, said Powell.
And Western women have been sent threatening text messages, warning them not to be seen on the beach in swimming costumes, or else.
Rumors swirl in Aceh of conversions from Islam to Christianity, of plans to undermine Islam with largesse from Christian charities and of a secret Christian agenda of seemingly innocuous aid organisations.
Aceh was traumatized by the Boxing Day tsunami, which left 170,000 dead and missing, but however needed the Western aid organisations have been, they have always been watched with wary eyes.
Sian Powell went on to say, An elder of the al-Hassanah mosque in Banda Aceh's Geuceu district said a gift of Christian money could not be used for a new roof for the mosque. Instead, the money was borrowed from elsewhere, and the donated funds from the broad-minded US-based Catholic Relief Service were used to repay the loan -- preventing the Christian cash having any direct contact with the mosque.
Long known as Indonesia's most conservatively devout province, Aceh introduced strict Islamic sharia law in 1999. Gamblers have been publicly caned and religious police have detained bare-headed Muslim women or couples seen canoodling.
Christian organisations flatly deny they are trying to bring the Christian faith to Aceh.
World Vision Australia chief executive Tim Costello said his organization had a strict policy forbidding proselytisation.
The story concludes that Aceh's Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Agency will begin investigating the allegations next month and, more importantly, probe why the Acehnese are feeling so insecure about Christians in the province.

IRAQI CITIZEN HELPS COALITION FORCES
BAGHDAD, Iraq - A local national identified a home in east Baghdad that was being used as a factory to make improvised rocket-launchers.
At about 6:30 p.m. elements of 3rd squadron, 7th Cavalry, raided the home and discovered 15 rocket-launchers were in the process of being built and one 57 millimeter rocket was completed and ready to be fired. No one was present in the home at the time of the raid.
It is encouraging that the Iraqi citizens are continuing to choose the side of the new government over the terrorists. The Iraqi citizens know that providing information against the terrorists to Coalition or Iraqi Security Forces will help to improve the security situation in their neighborhoods, said Col. Joseph DiSalvo, commander of Coalition Forces in east Baghdad.
All equipment in the home was seized and will be used as evidence against the homeowners when they are caught. Iraqi Security Forces are continuing the search.

That's a relief!! I hope all the explosives were there.
Why is it they never release the names???
And I suppose they stole all those explosives to go gold mining.
Snip: Yahya Ibrahim arrived at the Detroit airport Monday, where an immigration inspector denied him entry. Ibrahim, who was traveling from Australia, could not be reached for comment. He was scheduled to speak at the Texas Dawah Convention, an annual event for Muslims expected to attract 4,000 participants from across the country. The government confirmed that Ibrahim was denied entry, but refused to say why.

Just came back from a quick last minute Christmas shopping run and saw something long overdue. I live near an interchange along I-90 in Chicago, and for the last several weeks there has been a woman dressed in a hijab "panhandling" at this interchange. She has views to a major commuter rail line, a 6 lane interstate and the nearby CTA transit terminal. We have reported her numerous times. Well today she was being questioned by the State Police and 4 men in black suits who arrived in a black SUV. 'Bout damned time the Feds showed up!
