French designer Phillipe Starck has drawn up plans for the world's first spaceport - the $225m Virgin Galactic facility coming soon to a patch of New Mexico wasteland.

According to the Guardian, Virgin's Richard Branson has inked a deal with the New Mexico authorities to construct the spaceport from which Burt Rutan's SpaceShipOne will blast punters to 70 miles above the Earth for six minutes of weighlessness during a three-and-a-half hour flight.

I see one big bill board for adds.

I see a mickey with a finger pointing that passengers must be "this high".

and

since a french man is making it, I see a very high rudeness index.

70 miles above the Earth

They should put someone in jail for calling this space flight. Should be at least one time around the earth.

Multiple people going up to come down and tell about it might actually start pushing space flight again.

I'm a huge fan of space flight, but are they honestly going to build a 225 million dollar facility for a craft that can't even achieve orbit?
Surely there is more to it than that.
