I want you to have your freedom too, but I suspect that the nuclear war your leaders are starting are going to free us all from our earthly bonds.

I vote, and I'm in their political party.

I will MAKE them care.

Seeing this, and hearing as I have about how the Iranian youth of today are so fervently pro-Western/pro-Democracy, I get frustrated in wondering "where were all these sensible people in the late 1970s?"

Um, have you done the math on that question? -- Being born?

From looking at the pictures, a lot of them either weren't born yet or were very small. :-)

These people look like they're in their 20's and 30's (a lot of them)

Right after the damned revolution, Mullahs banned many stuff because they said that those were Tyrannical and the Shah's family used to eat that and therefore it is forbidden.

LOL

Banana was one of the stuff the stupid mullahs banned!

Careful with that.

Iranian students wanting freedom should never be confused with "they are on our side".

Your name is Persian. Please answer this question frankly.
Who are the Ayatollahs and the rulers of Iran now.

Yes, I recognize most of these specific people weren't born; but in general where were all the sensible people? That's my question.

Ayatollahs (mullahs, clerics) are Islamic preachers and they have been around since 500 years ago when the sect of shiite became the official religion of Iran (actually it became the official religion of Iran because the Safavid monarch was fighting the Sunni Ottomans and he did this in protest)

Ayatollahs have been suppressed by Kings and Rulers and they were thirsty and hungry for power and they grabbed it when their time came in 1979

Mullahs with White turbans are non-Arab (from non-Arab ancestors)

Mullahs with black turbans are Arabs (they claim they are the grandson of the prophet of Islam)

The Mullahs are the laziest and the most evil creatures one may imagine in this world

Oh...... you will have to forgive me. I am old and know little of what has transpired in Iran between 1973 and today.

so, because the Shaw used to eat Bananas they were banned. Sounds like a dictatorship on the order of the Communists and Nazi's.

Will pray that Iran will become a Democracy.

We, the people, constiuents (sp) need to make them care. In the U.S. all we have to do is send emails, we have freedom of our thoughts. Unlike you, we can't be arrested for saying what we think/believe.

They will hear, my congressmen will.
