As Election Day approaches in Iraq, the “CBS Evening News” tonight chose to lead with an al Qaeda video that showed masked gunmen executing Iraqi police recruits in the middle of the day, as well as two Iraqi women pleading for their lives before being shot. Correspondent Lara Logan interviewed Michael Ware, a western journalist who is so well connected in this part of the world that he is regularly given such videos. During the interview, Ware suggested that this particular tape was “an inspirational video” that aids “recruitment” and acts as a “fund-raising device.”

Ware then interviewed a Ba’athist “insurgent” who used to be a top-ranking military official under Saddam. At the conclusion of this interview, Logan chided the Bush administration for not using this man’s services:

Again...

Either this guy is a useful idiot...or a useful operative.

Either way, he's useful.

I'm just posting what I find. I have no idea whose side the idiot is on. It sounds as if he has major connections to the terrorists and helping to get their message out.

A Time Magazine article published in September shows that the deceptions and dangerous power plays even extend to at least some of our military intelligence personnel in the field. A piece by Joe Klein with a contribution by Michael Ware* served as a vehicle to allow “more than a dozen” current and former intelligence officers to unburden their frustrations about the Iraq war. While voicing a few valid criticisms, the long, sometimes confusing article also reveals that this group was implementing an alternative agenda, which seems to deliberately undermine US policies in Iraq.

All I'm saying is that there are many ways to look at such a function. He's a trusted insider...we get to know what's going on.

I'd rather have him giving us the info than not.

I don't object to objective observations and descriptions of events...I object to the editorial style and intonation of the reportage that is evident in most so-called hard news stories today.

These journalists are globalists. Their priorities are...

1. Journalism first.
2. Member of the World-Community next.
3. America - last.

Whether their reporting results in the death of Americans or not, means nothing to them.

On second thought...the correct order is:

1. The World-Community.
2. Journalism.
3. Then...America.
