Those sound delicious!
I have to bake a whole bunch, but I can't get started until my school semester, and the bulk of my church choir stuff is finished...........and then I go CRAZY with the cookies!

Thanks for posting, OWF ... let's not forget to turn on Brian Williams in about 40 mins. to see his interview. The snippets have been typically a bit confrontational, but even Brian admits that W's comfortable in his skin, and Brian believes him when he says he gets ample input and counsel ... i.e., NOT IN A BUBBLE.

Cookies certainly seem to be an American Christmas tradition it is sad but in Britain very few people bake biscuits or as you call them cookies regardless of the time of year. In fact I do not know anyone who does, I have in the past my favourite is cinnamon biscuits.
In Britain Scottish Shortbread is traditional for new year (though available all year round) my mum used to make wonderful shortbread and I have made it as well. It is easy to make so I ought to do some over the Christmas period. I suppose with doing all the cooking now I cannot get the enthusiasm up to do fun baking especially with working full time.

Ohio:
Here's a quick and easy recipe for your holiday baking:
Take the small circle pretzels that are only found during Christmas. Unwrap a Rolo candy and place in the middle of the pretzel. Bake at 250 degrees for about 4 minutes until rolo candy is soft, take out of oven and place a pecan on top. These are to die for.
