From the article, "Blanco's executive order cites the recommendation of Secretary of State Al Ater, the state's top elections officials, who has said the city is incapable of holding elections in February because Hurricane Katrina caused so much damage to polling sites and voting machines." Al Ater is a Republican.

Al Ater is a Republican. For me the problem isn't that Ater is a repub. It's that the majority of leadership in Louisiana lacks principles, courage, and/or b*lls. And that applies to 99.9% of our politicians.
