What is taking Arnold so long.
It is like Ted Kennedy is pushing his strings.
What a disgrace this RinoArnold is with his new chief of staff, the rino judge and now is interest in tookie.
He should have heard the cases reviewed it and decided. You would think Tookie was the victim the way Schwarzrinoator is treating this.

Does the terminator really have to decide to grant clemency to this mutant? I'm no lawyer, but can't he just not make a decision and allow this murderer to join his Maker?

If I understand the situation correctly, it's not a matter of "Why has he waited so long?" or "Why hasn't he made a decision?"
The gist of it is that unless he *does* do something, the execution goes on as planned. In other words, the governor (at this point) isn't even in the loop. It's a legal matter which the courts are handling.
This isn't to say that Ahnold won't make any public statements, but absent any action prior to the scheduled execution date, Tookie dies.

At first I thought it was a good idea to wait until tomorrow as riots are now being predicted here and maybe its better that people are at work. But come to think of it I was at work on a week day when the La riots happened in 92 and they told us all to go home, so it didn't make any difference! And I guess the people that riot don't have jobs anyway.

Have you considered he didn't want riots over the weekend?

I like that he is taking so long. Let the SOB wait and hope!
If there is a riot then I guess Tookie's little book didn't teach anyone anything. It will just make me laugh louder.
(I just hope no one gets hurt, excluding the people rioting)

you are aware that Arnold DOESN'T have to say or do anything RIGHT?
To: johnmecainrino
I'm not an attorney, but I would think that as long as there is an official court action taking place, the Governor would be out of line to make any public comment.
Probably will tomorrow.

You do understand that Arnold doesn't have to do anything. If he does not act for Tookie, Tookie dies as scheduled in under 25 hours. Speculation has been that he's running out the clock to avoid widespread rioting on Tookie's behalf.
I did not expect rioting but some officials have expressed concerns so it's anyone's guess what Arnold's hearing. This might be shrewd political public ploy to avoid anarchy on Tookie's behalf. Such folks may not want to tick off the governor who is supposed to be in deep soul-searching thought over clemency. This might be one instance where Arnold's image is a plus.

no Arnold is just being cautious after all
every time something deemed anti black by the young blacks and street gangs seems to promote a race riot,Arnold has to appear to be considering it,we all know if I a native-american Caucasian did the crime I would already be dead
this is basically a double standard in California, one rule for the liberal bleeding hearts syndrome, and the other for the rest of us...pull the plug already
