If there are any Chicago-area planespotters who want to brave the blizzard, this would be a good chance to get a rare shot of a Southwest plane at O'Hare.

I'm not familiar with the area, unfortunately I've never been to Chicago. That would indeed be interesting to see and fun under better circumstances. Was the original flight not scheduled to land in Chicago?

The accident flight landed at Midway Airport, as scheduled, where Southwest has all their Chicago operations. Southwest won't operate scheduled service to O'Hare, Chicago's main commercial airport, as it's exactly the kind of busy, expensive major-airline hub that they avoid. But since Midway is closed due to the crash until at least morning, the crisis team will have to go to O'Hare, which other than a charter flight will be the only time anyone will see a Southwest jet parked at O'Hare.
