The accident flight landed at Midway Airport, as scheduled, where Southwest has all their Chicago operations. Southwest won't operate scheduled service to O'Hare, Chicago's main commercial airport, as it's exactly the kind of busy, expensive major-airline hub that they avoid. But since Midway is closed due to the crash until at least morning, the crisis team will have to go to O'Hare, which other than a charter flight will be the only time anyone will see a Southwest jet parked at O'Hare.
Thanks! That is all good to know. It would be pretty cool to see. I used to enjoy plane watching, even though I'm some distance from a major airport. After 9-11, it was very difficult to continue, but I still enjoy my occasional flights and airport trips.
