The United Nations held a "Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People" last week. A large map of “Palestine,” with Israel literally wiped off the map, featured prominently in the festivities.
The ceremony was held at the UN headquarters in New York and was attended by Secretary General Kofi Annan and the Presidents of the UN Security Council and the General Assembly.
During the festivities, a map labeled a "map of Palestine” was displayed prominently between UN and PLO flags. The map, with “Palestine” written in Arabic atop it, does not include Israel, a member of the UN for 56 years. The map does not even demarcate the partition lines of November 29, 1947, marking a Jewish state alongside an Arab state. The partition was dictated by the UN General Assembly itself.
With the map hanging behind him, Secretary-General Annan addressed the public meeting at UN Headquarters.

At the start of the ceremony, the dignitaries present asked attendees to observe a moment of silence. “I invite everyone present to rise and observe a minute of silence in memory of all those who have given their lives for the cause of the Palestinian people,” the master of ceremonies said, “and the return of peace between Israel and Palestine.“

Solution: Eminent Domain for the UN buildings. The real estate should be used for something productive, especially after the destruction of the twin towers by the UN's pals.
Just close and lock the doors, fence it in with razor wire and post some Nat'l Guard troops outside -- it's already full of criminals.
I have a feeling the crux event is coming soon. When the UN aligns fully against Israel and probably the US as well. I just hope we launch the big ones before these people try and take over the world.I would rather be dead than see the US or Israel fall.
Not gonna happen... The liberal politicians love the UN, and our so called conservative politicians don't have the guts to do it. Sadly, the word "isolationist" is all too often used to unfairly to describe conservatives like myself who have a problem with US foreign policy and US membership in the UN....
"isolationist" doesn't even fit -- what the hell has the UN done that benefits the US lately? North Korea and Iran are plunging ahead while El "debarge" Baradei sits on his hands, they aren't doing crap in Iraq, the Congo and Darfur are still in tatters and the former Yugoslavia is starting to simmer again. If this is isolationist then sign me up.

I find that in conversation out in public, my liberal friends throw the "isolationist" tag on me because they "feel" that the UN is needed in the new Global age while I think it is a corrupt and useless organization when it comes to benefiting the US in any way shape or form.
On this forum I get tagged as an "Isolationist" for pointing out that US foreign policy has a bad habit of aiding foreign leaders and foreign countries who are openly hostile to the US... only to have the US go to war with these same countries or leaders at a later date after we have foolishly helped to make them more powerful than they ever would have been without our "help".
I smell the PA in your description. My liberal friends know better than to try and argue with me -- they're scared to death of facts.
