Interesting that he does not say that it was Napoleon who gave us bureaucracy, and it is as a bureaucratic nightmare that the EU impacts us all. Of course, he also pretended to spread the French revolution by instituting his family in monarchies around Europe. Democratic deficit anyone?

I was actually reading about Napoleon Bonaparte and the Battle of Austerlitz 'n all.
