You'll love it then. No noise. No vibration. Just lovely perfect quietude.

The first time I drove one of these things, I thought they were a lot of hype. I drove it three more times before I bought it. I've not been dissappointed. I knew going in what it would feel and handle like already owning a 2003 model. This one is substantially better in many ways. They really did their homework.

I have no use for the Prius myself. I got into a tiff with the Toyota dealer when I told him it was butt ugly. But it LOVE the Escape enough to buy my second one. The utility of a SUV, the handling of a car. Big on the inside, small on the outside and now fantastic fuel economy and drivability. What more can a person want?

Sounds great! My Dad's last buy was a Prius. He loved it. I drove it a couple times and hated it, but then we were two very different guys. My 16yo niece now drives that Prius and she likes it too. Go figure. When Dad's '68 Skylark needed an engine rebuild, he decided to sell it. I was so upset that he would actually sell that and buy a Toyota Camry that I almost bought it from him. I still think it's the best car he ever owned.

If peak oil is here, a few years from now the Prius will be king of the road.

Do you expect gas prices to stay below $2 a gallon for the next eight years?

Adjusted for inflation, yes.

He once said on the air that there was this magic carburetor that could return 200 mpg but the oil companies bought up the design.

LOL!

I heard that too. You missed his 'sarcasm off' instuctions. Don't be so gullible.

I didn't hear the "sarcasm off" warning. He sounded sincere. But I was listening on the car radio. Perhaps there was some static in the reception.
