Wal-Mart doesn't support illegal aliens, their contractors do and Wal-Mart have punished those contractors who do so.
WalMart hates small business America, despite whatever "charity" they give out. That's just putting lipstick on the pig.
Horse vomit. Wal-Mart (via Sam's Club) saves small businesses millions of dollars. And they support conservative causes, such as scholarships and charter schools.
My problemn with WalMart is that everything the sell is from China. They have basically sold thier souls to the Chinese, as have many other US corporation. And you and I have subsidized it.
Memo to you: Wal-Mart sucks, and everyone who shops there.
"Myself, I like hearing, "That will be $24.99" instead of "That will be $29.99.""
Your choice. Isn't America great!
Umm... I believe it's called Costco.
You know I was totally kidding, right?
And why do I have to go when they decide to be open? Wal-mart is often open 24 hours.
There is an Ace about 1 block away from a Lowes (and Target) and 2 blocks away from a Home Depot (and Costco) where I live. They do just fine too.

I think this is more of the case. increased competition. I will tell you, though, I like wal mart better than target.
<------ retailers' worst nightmare.
Please do not change titles.
Didn't you read the article?
Read it and then get back to me with Qs
Howdy stranger!!!!!!!!
haven't seen you on a WM thread in ages.
But as you see - nothing has changed in the least :)
"Walgreens firing pharmacists impacts your decision to shop at Wal-Mart how?"
Uhhhh...duhhh...they both start with "Wal," innit? Jeez...how dumb can a guy be...? [big wide grin]
If you can't compete, then get out of the market.
As her turkey farming relatives are producers and not retailers, I doubt it is a problem of direct price competition between them and Wal Mart. It's more likely a case of Wal Mart not being willing to buy from them for the price they want to get. Instead, Wal Mart is telling them that if they don't want to lower their selling price they will go find a different supplier.
This woman and her family seem to think Wal Mart shouldn't be allowed to shop around for the best price, and instead should be forced to accept whatever price the turkey farm wants to charge.
I just thought I'd add to the fun.
Exactly. I have no desire to pay for a more personalized greeting. When I'm buying a hammer I don't particularly care if the checker tells me to have a nice day.
EXACTLY! My wife and I run a profitable small business and we shop at Sam's Club and Wal-Mart which helps us make OUR small business more profitable!
It's these same people who hold this mythically romantic idea of a small business as those who hold a mythically romantic view of the family farm (save the family farm). Fact is, these romantically naive types have likely never owned a small business nor ever stepped food on a farm!
"Wal-Mart sucks, and everyone who shops there."
Really? Walmart sucks EVERYONE who shops there? That's news to me. I've shopped there. I guess I came on the wrong day.
I won't be here for long...got to run out to Walmart and drive a few more mom and pop businesses out of business before Christmas.
Have a Merry Walmart Christmas!
