Offering Abortion, Rebirth (Abortion... this article says it all.... without knowing it.)
LA times ^ | 11/29/05 | Stephanie Simon

Posted on 11/29/2005 12:20:26 PM PST by Dick Vomer

Dr. William F. Harrison has forgotten how many children the woman had.

"We try to make sure she doesn't ever feel guilty," he says, "for what she feels she has to do."

"It was a lot easier than I thought it would be," she says. "I thought it would be horrible, but it wasn't. The procedure, that is."

.... She is not yet sure, she says, how she is doing emotionally. She feels guilty, sad and relieved, all in a jumble.

"There's things wrong with abortion," she says. "But I want to have a good life. And provide a good life for my child." To keep this baby now, she says, when she's single, broke and about to start college, "would be unfair." ...........

..............

For the few women who arrive ambivalent ..., Harrison's nurse has posted statistics on the exam-room mirror: One out of every four pregnant women in the U.S. chooses abortion. A third of all women in this country will have at least one abortion by the time they're 45. ...........

.............. "You think there's room in hell for all those women?" the nurse will ask............

.............. She regrets having to pay $750 for the abortion, but Amanda says she does not doubt her decision. "It's not like it's illegal. It's not like I'm doing anything wrong," she says............

..............

"I've been praying a lot and that's been a real source of strength for me. I really believe God has a plan for us all. I have a choice, and that's part of my plan."

...........

.............. The last patient of the day, a 32-year-old college student named Stephanie, has had four abortions in the last 12 years. She keeps forgetting to take her birth control pills. Abortion "is a bummer," she says, "but no big stress." ...........

..............

The result of their agenda may not be what they expected, it may open the eyes of many people who don't give much thought to abortion to the banal evil of it all.

4,400 babies are aborted everday in America. I think it comes out to one every 30 seconds or something close. 1.6 million every year. America makes up 1/4 of the worlds abortions.

This is very sad. The abortion industry is raising girls with no conscience. These same girls would scream and be traumatized if someone harmed a puppy, but what they did is no big deal.

Imagine the abortionist, pulling those little arms off over and over every day, telling yourself that you're making women happy. Providing a vital health service. There has to be a special place for them in hell.

Research has proven that girls who have abortions are twice as likely to kill themselves. The doctor has no obligation to tell them.

Research has proven that girls who have abortions are twice as likely to be diagnosed with cancer in their later years. The doctor has nor obligation to tell them.

More women die today from having abortion than befoe Roe Vs Wade. Dorcotrs have no obligation to tell patients of the risks involved.

Personally, if I was a doctor performing abortions, and saw the same woman coming in over and over and over again, I'd do both her and society a favor, and quietly make sure she'd never be able to get pregnant again.

Maybe so, but I don't think it paints abortion in a good light. That's why I said I hope MORE are written. Let people see the ugly sin for what it is. These are not women who HAVE to have abortions, and the callousness they display is very good for the pro-life movement. jmho...

It is my belief that most RATs are confirmed followers of the murderous Baal and prove it daily. The followers of Baal were depraved sexual predators and murderers of babies. The shoe fits.

I'm not skeptical at all. This is not a subject women talk about freely. More women than you'd ever know, or care to, have had abortions.

That's nonsense. Girls who have unwanted pregnancies are more likely to have messed up lives in the first place, and more likely to commit suicide, regardless of whether they have an abortion or not. There is NO connection between cancer and abortion -- the only "researcher" who claims otherwise is an undergraduate science professor at a business school that doesn't even offer a science major (and even he doesn't make the preposterous claim that cancer is "twice as likely"). And nobody has a clue how many women died from abortions before Roe v. Wade, since the cause of death was rarely reported accurately. The risks associated with abortion performed by a licensed doctor in a proper medical facility are almost exactly the same as the risks associated with carrying and delivering a baby -- deaths happen, but are extremely rare, especially if the woman is healthy to begin with. But somehow I don't hear any calls for obstetricians to tell their pregnant patients how dangerous it can be to continue with a pregnancy.

only 2% of 1.6 million abortions are performed for medical reasons. the rest is all cosmetic. with that said. i think the pro-life movement needs to start an ad campaign against the abortion industry like they did to the tobacco industry. put some of these fact on prime time television. let people know the risks. let people know about planned parenthood's racist roots and how it was designed to exterminate the black population. change the face of abortion. billions of dollars worth of insurance premiums go into the industry of death, what cures might we have found if we had spent that money on looking for them, instead of killing babies? why should i be paying for anyones cosmtetic surgery?

Nonsense. The "pro-life" movement would have dingbat Stephanie, the 32 year old college student who just can't remember to take her birth control pills, and keeps getting pregnant over and over again, and never thinks to have an IUD installed, to have a boatload of babies. No thanks, I'm not interested in supporting her babies, while she raises them to be just like herself.

Let's see you post links to real medical research that shows abortion raising the risk of any kind of cancer. And don't bother with Joel Brind -- he's a silly quack who can't get a job teaching even undergraduate science majors, and his "work" has been thoroughly refuted by real researchers at Baylor University, among many others. Not having any babies at all slightly raises the risk of breast cancer, but it doesn't matter how many abortions a woman has -- only how many babies she has.

We'll have a lot more than a financial burden, if people like Stephanie reproduce themselves into becoming an ever larger percentage of our society.

Either that or I'd make the "shot" mandatory for someone who "forgets" the pill so easily.
