Regarding national security, I think there's a lot more activity going on than we ever hear about by the CIA, NSA, and FBI to catch actual terrorists near the border, both here and in Mexico. I would bet that there's much more surveillance of the border area happening than we ever hear about from the media. That's a deliberate strategy to prevent counter-measures by terrorists.

You're funny.

I live on the border. I live in the county in Arizona that has become the most popular crossing point for criminal invaders to break and enter our nation. There's no extra surveillance. You need to see things for yourself to understand. A group here smuggled simulated WMDs across the border fence, on foot to the highway miles away, and then all the way to the Federal Building in downtown Tucson, AZ. They've done this several times to prove a point. Maybe if they'd shot up a flare and used loudspeakers to announce what they were doing, someone might have heard them and the Border Patrol may have stopped them.
