Walt was a ambulance driver at the tail end of WW 1 He was a unabashed patriot and American, and was awarded the presidential medal of freedom in 1964 for , among other things making WW 2 training films for the military at or below his own cost. Communist? Not a chance.

Walt Disney was one of the great americans. He was a Mason, and true believer in American values. He was a bit eccentric however.
