As a first crude cut at it, it appears that Texan Hipanics are pretty law abiding.

I don't know if you have been downtown lately. But when I have visitors from out of state we are downtown until well after midnight. We usually finish with breakfast at MiTiera's.

I usually use a three wheel mobility vehicle when a lot of walking is involved. I do not feel unsafe ever, when we are downtown, or at the Riverwalk, or El Mercado, for that matter. That having been said there are areas of town that I would not like to be on foot at night.

Lest you say I am full of it, I do have a Part-Time job. Gets me out of an empty house and among people. It is for a Van co. that hauls railroad crews out to their trains, which are sometimes stopped in those areas. I have no problems there either.

In essence, I am am saying that San Antonio deserves a listing as safe, and comparatively clean also.
