Colonel Murtha, USMC, did not "cut and run". Check his record. I do not agree with his current tactics but would never infer cowardice... I would bet that not only has he heard about the "Battle of the Bulge", he could lecture on the subject.

The RATS use this technique all of the time. It'll be nice to play hardball for awhile.

When one of the Republican speakers was talking he held up the New York Times, the Washington Post and Al Jahera(sp) all had as their banner headlines, "Immediate Withdrawn". It appears that the media distributed the bullets that actually killed this resolution.
From what I have heard, Muther wanted our troops stationed in surrounding countries. What the hell good that would do is beyond me.
Makes no sense to fight for the same ground twice.
