Colonel Murtha, USMC, did not "cut and run". Check his record. I do not agree with his current tactics but would never infer cowardice... I would bet that not only has he heard about the "Battle of the Bulge", he could lecture on the subject.

In an odd sort of way, Murha did the administration and troops a big favor.
Murtha was an S2 officer which meant he worked intelligence / counterinterintelligence among other things in his stint in the Corps.
Time will tell which he was working as this week. His stance regarding Iraq has been known for well over a year.

1) My tagline says Democrats.
2) Murtha may have been a great Marine but he sucks as a Congressman while the country is at war.
3) The Democratic Congress cut and ran from the Viet Nam War. Because of that ill temperate move millions died at the hand of the Khmer Rouge. Because of that millions of Vietnamese lived in poverty and hopelessness.

(Democrats cut and run, Marines don't. Democrats are silent and millions die. Which to use?)

Sorry, if i sound harsh, but the Democrats never took responsibility for the tragic outcome once the US left the Southeast Asia Theater. When the mini peacemovent raised it's ugly head again in 2003, and Kerry once again came to the forefront, no one discussed the responsibility the Politicians bore when the US pulled out of Southeast Asia, I became quite angry.
I will do my best with the little means I have not to repeat history My tagline simply expresses my disgust.

Hopefully you can explain Murtha's comment found here?

If Murtha did hear of the Battle of the Bulge and respected the lessons of history he would not have used the letters of grieving parents and wounded soldiers to manipulate the vote and political discourse the way he did. Rep. Murtha would not have said the things he did say tonight if he learned from the Battle of the Bulge. If he could lecture on the subject of the Battle of the Bulge I doubt very much that I would be interested in his points of view. I would prefer listening to Victor Davis Hanson or Thomas Sowell but NOT Mr. Murtha after tonight's display.
