It was never designed to pass. It was to back the DemocRATS into a corner. Their anti-war base is going to be quite angry with them. This could turn out to be fun to watch.

Will I throw up if I visit DU, or just enjoy their pain?

"US death rate is about 8.9 per 1000 per year - let's see - a population of 140,000 for 2.5 years - hmmm - ya know, its safer for our troops in Iraq than it is here - statistically speaking."
I wish that was true, but it is not. The mortality rate for our troops' demographics is more like 1 per thousand, it that.

That or half the Military is from Georgia! :-) We are very patriotic in my great state. :-)

Maybe the 1000 donations to DU were one way tickets to France. That would mean Freepers were contributing.
To: A Citizen Reporter
CNN had their breaking news banner up when Murtha was speaking, but, apparently, airing a story about the "power of polygamy" is more important than covering the results of the actual vote.

Gingrey is my congressman, not Linder. But I know of Linder because his district (forget which one) is fairly close to mine.
But I think my theory has been shot to hell because there are other R AYE votes out there now. I don't understand.

The...RINO votes just disappeared.
I wasn't paying enough attention. Did the Republicans switch to "Nay" or to "Not Voting"?

I don't like that. A lawmaker should not be so insecure that he can't figure out which way to vote even after he has already cast the vote. I wanna know who the other RINO was

We're going to look very stupid in the morning if we keep trumpeting this soundbite. For the record, that is not the context in which Murtha said this:
"Our troops have become the enemy"
He was referring to the way he felt they were being shafted by the government upon their return home.

Ron Paul. Rules-based monkey pulls the lever in the prescribed programmed manner.

All the GOP yeahs are gone. Did they withdraw their votes. Actually, seeing the vote tally change is not unusual. A lot of times the Congressman or Senator will have accidentally voted wrong, realize the mistake and change it.
To: Leroy S. Mort
looks like his vote was changed. oops, i already left him a message about his 'yea' vote.
