I am just tuning in so maybe what I am wondering about has already been answered. If Murtha truly believes what he is advocating, why is he speaking up at this particular time? He knows about the December Iraq election under their new constitution. He knows how demoralizing and dangerous this call for surrender by the US to the terrorists has to be for the troops still facing death minute by minute. IMO, Murtha may actually believe what he is saying, but he is not being honest about his motivation to board the anti war RAT train just now when they have been pounding the President 24/7 with one lie after another. Anyway, I hope the vote tonite actually takes place. It will stimulate more GOP action against the RAT attacks against President Bush and his administration.

Actually its mostly your name calling that made me say that. You and a few others can call people names without being called on it.Are you under the impression that calling somebody a socialist ISN'T name calling?
Get a life.
To: OXENinFLA
lol, this is a fast moving thread. we're all ready for this to happen.
I don't know if I can take much of murtha's mouth, though. bleah.

Name calling? Look at the person you are defending.

Is the vote still on for 7pm? Why is C-Span1 showing the Murtha presser now?

Strongly agree.

And Bill Clinton's impeachment.

Someone please contact Schmidt by email. Her phone is full. If she gets to speak again tonight, tell her to read the "Cowards Run" letter again. Tell her NOT to withdraw.

We do have freepmail which will allow the little spat to go on in private.
This thread is about the resolution - not about who is DU or not.
Although nothing better than a Friday night battle. Just a pity it is not with the liberals and the media that runs our country.

Are these the remarks that got everybody in an uproar?
If not, they should have.
Weak-minded.

WKRP in Cinncinati - the famous promotion where they gave away live turkeys.... by dropping them out of a helicopter.
Well, at least they were alive when they left the helicopter.

"Is the vote still on for 7pm?"
I don't think they've even started debate on the actual resolution yet.
To: La Enchiladita
Yeah, maybe so. The mob agreed with her long, LONG before you showed up, Gloomy Gerta. Lighten the heck up, will ya?

Sen. Kyl was just on Hugh Hewitt's show.
Seems the Patriot act will SUNSET during the congress's break because Spector will not vote it out of conference.
To: Howlin
I want to take a poll- how many times after this upcoming vote do you predict you will hear, "I voted for the troops before I voted against them.", or I voted to "keep the troops before I voted to send them away." or "I voted for pullout before I voted against it"..... They are screwed no matter what they do. I just can't stop laughing!
