GOP Pulls Fast One... Tells Dems: Pull Troops Now? Okay, then let's vote!!!!! Tonight. 7 p.m. in House... Ultimate showdown...
I think they're well aware of the message a "not voting" would send about their commitment to the War on Terror. It's as good as a "no" -- and people WILL notice.
Or she's calling her nurse to change her very wet diaper.
Thanks, Captain Bringdown and Mr. Buzzkill. =)
Well this is just great political drama. Good thing I am sick. I have a good excuse to stay home and watch the proceedings. This will be one for the record books.
Have any of them gone dashing to the microphones to whine about how the Republicans are "politicizing" the war with this "stunt" yet?
This will identify the waffles for once and for all. Way to go, Roy !
This is ALREADY causing problems for the Democrats. Over in DUmmieland, the DUmmies are FLAMING John Kerry for saying he disagrees with Murtha.
I would do the same if I had a representative with more substance than a cloud of flatulence. If he (Sam Farr, D-Carmel) remains true to form he will wait until the debate reaches its highest pitch and then release a statement calling for a federally funded, solar-powered choo-choo train to replace automobile traffic on the Central Coast.
----What happens if the Dems just vote "present"?---
Anynoe that votes to pull out is a traitor. Anyone that votes present or doesn't vote is a coward and a traitor!
make sure they a have a big yellow stripe on the back...
War on terror. You're either with us or you're against us.
They'll run for the doors... the French vote!
they will offer some excuse, state this is a ploy by the republicans to take attention away from bush lies; repeat of rangel with accusations that dubya wanted the draft, when time came to vote on bill he introduced, he was nowhere to be found!!!!!!!!!!
Not to mention how pissed off the liberal base will become if the Dems' didn't take the opportunity to vote to bring the troops home. They're screwed either way.
Congressman are probably on their way out of town for the holiday... I wonder how many will show up for the vote? Enough to make a statement? And the dems who weren't planning to go out of town quite yet will suddently have plans they couldn't break... They could say that the Republicans didn't give them enough time to plan to be in attendence for the vote. Dems will try to gather their votes together and get RINOs on their side for after the holiday. And the MSM will be complicit with them. Hope that I'm wrong. I'd love to see this work!
"Isn't it lovely with the Dem's loose their voice!"
Indeed!! Lot's of cell phones ringing in Washington right now...lol
This gang has made me unsure of anything that common sense would normally make me assume.
