b>The following excerpts, taken from this article, could well have been written by Osama bin Laden or al Zarquawi himself to boost the morale of their 'holy warriors':

* The war in Iraq is not going as advertised
* The United States and coalition troops have done all they can in Iraq,
* (The US) military is suffering.
* The future of our military is at risk.
* Our military and their families are stretched thin. * The future of our country is at risk
* We can not continue on the present course
* Many say that the Army is broken.
* Continued military action in Iraq is not in the best interest of the United States
* Recruitment is down, our military has lowered its standards.
* Some of our troops are on their third deployment.
* The main reason for going to war has been discredited

Unsatisified with ordinary, everyday treason, the "Honorable" Senator gives away specific military secrets:

"A few days before the start of the war I was in Kuwait – the military drew a red line around Baghdad and said when U.S. forces cross that line they will be attacked by the Iraqis with Weapons of Mass Destruction – but the US forces said they were prepared. They had well trained forces with the appropriate protective gear"

Now, for some 'seasoning' on his treason he adds:

"We spend more money on Intelligence than all the countries in the world together -- But the intelligence concerning Iraq was wrong -- It is not a world intelligence failure. It is a U.S. intelligence failure and the way that intelligence was misused --"

Now it's time for the "honorable" Senator to release more national security secrets to our enemies, and pile on more treason:

"I have been visiting our wounded troops at Bethesda and Walter Reed hospitals almost every week since the beginning of the War. And what demoralizes them is going to war with not enough troops and equipment to make the transition to peace; the devastation caused by IEDs;"

Now the very creepy Senator decides to show us his 'feminine side' and plead that war is extra tragic during hurricane season, and how it's hard on families:

"--being deployed to Iraq when their homes have been ravaged by hurricanes; being on their second or third deployment and leaving their families behind without a network of support."

Now the creepy Senator is back to typical Democrat ploys, talking about "other threats" but not naming them.

Separated at birth...but not much separated otherwise.

"And after 37 years in the Marine Corps, Murtha still didn't learn our motto, "Semper Fidelis!"

Apparently Murtha stayed in the Marines beyond his usefulness and decided to take the shell of his former self to Congress, where shells and empty suits rule the day.

Prime Choice! Excellent pic! I guess the terrorists have found a new spokesman!

I once spent a night in a Holiday Inn Express. Perhaps that makes me a war expert, too.

I resent the way murtha uses our wounded warriors as part of his political ploy. I wonder how often he has truly visited with them and wonder if he will be welcome again.

Excellent post!

I suppose we should keep secret that these last three weeks the liberals/democrats are solidifying the public impression that they are incapable of handling national security secrets, of weakening national defense and even soft on national security with these pronouncements?

They are proving Zell Miller's assertions.

Guess we'll keep it a secret.

Given that Murtha's actions can only encourage the terrorist by making them believe that they can win (They can see the "light at the end of the tunnel" and Murtha is holding it), the blood spilled from here on is on Murtha's hands. He has given the terrorist encouragement and they will now fight harder knowing that they can beat our congressmen and women even if they can't do anything to our military that is allowed by the Geneva convention.

Benedict Arnold did very well at Bunker Hill, Breed's Hill and Saratoga but in the end he wound up being the John Murtha of his time.

Note that Arizona Senator John Kyl's best effort today is to plead that we not question the patriotism of those who are betraying our soldiers and our country in the name of the Demonratic Party. What happens to these guys when they go to Washington????

God bless you and yours.

I called Murtha's office yesterday and read them the "riot act"

Thank you. It is Semper Fidelis not Semper Vapulus. His opinion being published by Al Jazeera makes him appear beaten.

I hope you aren't inferring that the current group of elected republican legislators do have solid straight spines. If you are I'll have to disgree. The bunch we have now are bent to the same form as the democrats. We need to clean DC and the majority of state capitols from top to bottom!

Can you name ten out of the total 536 UN suckups who are worth re-electing? I can't.

"The war in Iraq is not going as advertised."
As advertised? He lost me `right out of the gate' by starting out *sucking-eggs*.
This is DNC propaganda or "a message aimed at serving an agenda".
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propaganda

Colonel John P. Murtha, Retired: Political hack.
Marines are fighting and dying in Iraq, one year after Fallujah, an effort that ranks with Tripoli and Saipan, and US Representative Murtha decides to join Jane Fonda and Co.
It's a shameful display for a Cindy Sheehan, but I don't have a word to apply to a Marine who would allow himself to be used like this. He may have started out as Marine but he degenerated into an egg-sucking Democrat.
