John Murtha can kiss my commoner redneck ass. John Murtha has two wars as a Marine under his belt - Korea and Vietnam. He can say whatever he damn well pleases.

He can say whatever he damn well pleases.
He certainly does. I served this country for 4 years in the US Army, and although I did not see combat, I also have every right to call him a coward for his statements.
Purposely pushing that false impression of the "war" being "unwinnable" is nothing but a slap in the face to all who serve. It's more of the same from the democrats/liberals/progressives/socialists/communists.
They've seen this tactic work before, and are trying to use it again. The problem is, IMO, they no longer have ultimate control of the media as they previously had and this war's ambitions and methods are significantly different from the last war they used this tactic.
They will continue to push and push until they get their way or are severely slapped down. I vote to slap them down hard and permanently.

Could you point me to where it says he fought in Korea? I can only find that he was in the Marines during the Korean war. Also my son fought in Iraq and he can say whatever he damn well please but I can still tell him is full of it. Fighting in a war doesn't make you right, nor does it make you immune from criticism.

No, really, I'm unhappy enough with our guys these days. I'm not even going to pretend to be patient with this kind of stuff from the Democrats, I don't care what they did in the war.

Grandstanding before the media was a heck of a way to use his war card. Our finally welcoming him home over Veteran's Day wasn't enough I guess.

" John Murtha has two wars as a Marine under his belt ... He can say whatever he damn well pleases." Of course he can. However, tomorrow's headline in all the MSM newspapers is going to read:
Murtha to Bush- "Pull Out Of Iraq Now!"
subhead: Ex-Marine Congressman Condemns Bush Policy

Was he in Korea? No, I don't think so...
And does Duncan Hunter-- who fought in Nam and has a son in Iraq-- trump John Murtha.

John Murtha has two wars as a Marine under his belt - Korea and Vietnam. He can say whatever he damn well pleases. And demonstrate that experience is not neccessarily the best teacher, But, then choosing to be a Democrat, showed us that.

I never served in the military but I do watch a lot of war movies, am I also allowed to say whatever I damn well please or does that freedom only apply to war vets?

So f***ing what? If he had fought two wars does this mean he cannot be a traitor by aiding and abetting the enemy as he is doing now? This Murtha is a defeatist traitor period.

And this guy, hero et al, is waaay outta line. He's playing politics with our boys and girls over there and over here.
This issue was settled after he pulled this $#!+ over a year ago. America voted - his ideas lost.

Agreed...after 20 years in the military, now retired, I can say what I damn well please. Murtha should of learned the lessons of cut and run in Nam. Now he is just another senile, sellout, sob who places his political life ahead of the lives of the soldiers in the field. His ill advised words give aid and comfort to the enemy. He should have known better. His motives are called into question, and I suggest he not wait for the phone call from any pro-military group to speak at any function in the future. Mission ALWAYS comes first, then the men, then yourself. If you screw the mission, and screw the men, then you screw yourself. Senile old bastard.
