cut and run before the job is done....."""

How would you define "the job done"? Give me specifics. What has to happen in order for the "job to be done"? Bush said "mission accomplished" more than two years ago. What still has to happen? How many more years must American troops be in Iraq? And why did't you call me "chamberlain" when I opposed Clinton's invasions of Haiti and Africa?

Let's at least wait to see what the "story" is before jumping to any conclusions.

Exactly. Is this some sort of "break the plan first" duel? They figure they look better come 2006 if they said it first? Idiots. It will end when we're done, and the Iraqis have control. Anything else is wishful thinking. And politics as usual, which we cannot afford.

McInsane is trying really hard to change the subject from his leaking of the locations of the terrorist detention prisons to the Washington comPost. His cancer is starting to spread from his face to his brain.

I guess the simpering fools want to advance spinelessness throughout the world.

Defund their pork and see how they like it.

the Hill........The Democratic call for a timetable for withdrawal was excised from the GOP version, a statement that “United States military forces should not stay in Iraq indefinitely” was changed to say that they should not be there “any longer than necessary,”

I think this Republican version is W's position.

“Our troops deserve a strategy in Iraq that’s worthy of the sacrifice they’re making every day,” Minority Leader Harry Reid (Nev.) said at a press conference yesterday. “Staying the course is no longer an option.”

The strategy is already published on the Whitehouse Website.

"Drudge lies..."

A plan isn't a bad thing.... it's a time table that's a bad idea.

Watch for a pull out just prior to Israel bombing the hades out of the Iranians. "Correcting" the Iranians is going to happen before Bush leaves office.

Republicans and Democrats offer similar Iraq amendments

http://www.hillnews.com/thehill/export/TheHill/News/Frontpage/111505/reps.html

Call your senator and tell them to vote no on both amendments

Mission Accomplished: AS IN the MAIN military objectives had been accomplished.

As for the rest of it, would YOU be in favor of LEAVING the Iraqis all alone to fend for themselves AGAINST the Iranians?

My guess is that you haven't come CLOSE to thinking through your stance and (as usual) are just disrupting the site. AGAIN.

These guys are politiicans and they see that most voters are opposed to this war. It's proving to be as much an albatross for Bush as I warned before the invasion. The GOP doesn't want to lose the Senate and the House next year, so I'm not surprised if a number of them are saying that at some point the US has to bring the troops home.
