yes, as to why we pay for this war. Because if Islam is left to its own devices then it will """
Excuse me, but the new constitution in IRaq - for which 2050 Americans died - is an ISLAMIC constitution. If you're so worried about Islam, why are you comfortable that we've established an Islamic republic in Iraq?
To: churchillbuff
I don't believe most Americans oppose the war in Iraq. I do believe many Americans are falling for MSM and Democrat spin and lies.

You musn't have been here the other day when there was a CNN poll for "Do you support G W Bush" [not exact words]
NO votes registered......Yes votes didn't.
You call that fair and unbiased polling?
It doesn't only happen at CNN, it happens on all the bloody MSM alphabet sites.

I am so angry about these idiots. Do they realize what emboldened Bin Laden in the first place was the Russians giving up and retreating from Afghanistan? Do they realize what would happen if we did pull out? The terrorists would declare victory and come after us like never before. I am disgusted with these people putting their own reelection ahead of the country's security. It is beyond pathetic and dangerous!

"The only "regime change" that you war-hawks care about is in the middle east. I never see any posts calling for "regime change" of dictatorships anywhere else."
I support "regime change" in China, they are a growing communist danger. I support "regime change" in Korea, I support "regime change" in Cuba, I support "regime change" in Vietnam. Get rid of all the Lefty commies. I support "regime change" in Cuba. I support "regime change" in france. I support "regime change" in the Senate, vote out Kennedy, Hitlery, Kerry and McCain.
OK... now you have seen this "hawk" calling for more "regime changes". Happy now Sport?

You're telling me what you think the polls say. I'm just interpreting the drudge report that some GOP senators are asking for some kind of clear move toward a conclusion of US involvement in Iraq. THat tells me that they - the senators - are reading polls that say Americans are skeptical as this thing drags on and on. The senators are professionals at knowing what polls mean. That's how they landed their jobs.

The troll continues to speak.
Regardless, of what people think about Saddam and going to war, pathetic people like you that want to surrender to Zarqawi will be the death of the Republic.

How would you define "the job done"? Give me specifics. What has to happen in order for the "job to be done"? Bush said "mission accomplished" more than two years ago. What still has to happen? How many more years must American troops be in Iraq? And why did't you call me "chamberlain" when I opposed Clinton's invasions of Haiti and Africa? Did the U.S. formulate a proper plan for a new German government before we went against Germany? How long did it take us to get ALL our troops home after WWII?

"...the polls say that you're in minority, and that's why Bush's numbers are down. It sounds like - like Saddam - you'd love to "ban" everyone who disagrees with you, but it's a free country so you can't."
You're so keen on having others respond to your points, why don't you respond to mine?
Yes, most Americans are against the war... but a larger majority of Americans are AGAINST "cutting and running".
Even though many Americans now believe the war was wrong, they also believe that leaving now would be a disaster.

So we're a psifoforiarchy now? (Rule by polls)
Sounds like you yearn for the good old days when President Clinton couldn't decide whether to urinate sitting or standing without taking a poll first.
