Fellow Americans:
I'm so very proud of my son who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
He knew the mission was important, and he understood that the war in Iraq was central to the war on terrorism.
Sadly, my son (Lance Cpl. Michael Jason Williams) lost his life in combat in this war. My life changed forever when I got a knock at my door, informing me that Michael had been killed in action. My son is my hero.
As a father, I can't tell you what a gut-wrenching blow it was, and still is. Not a day goes by I don't think about my child. But the Anti-American, anti-war crowd that pretends to 'support the military, but not the mission' are a pack of liars.
Some people, like Cindy Sheehan and Michael Moore, have tried to exploit the death of Michael and others who lost their lives in Iraq, in order that they might advance their far left political agenda.
If we don't stand up to the Cindy Sheehans, Michael Moore's and the politicans who are using Michael's death to further their agenda of undermining our Commander-in-Chief, then Michael Jason William's devotion to this great country will be rendered meaningless.
I know from bitter experience.
I am a Vietnam veteran.
I don't know what is so hard for the people in today's anti-war movement to understand. Radical Islamic Extremists are determined to kill Americans and destroy our way of life.
In Iraq the terrorist insurgency is led by a fellow named Zarqawi, his position is the leader of "Al Qaeda in Iraq" yet the anti-war crowd marches through our streets proclaiming that the war in Iraq has nothing to do with the war against terrorism.
Well, I've had enough of the misguided, anti-military and even anti-American rhetoric from the anti-war crowd. They seem to be rooting for our enemies more than our own troops at times.
So I've decided to help fight back.
I've leant my voice and my story - and the story of my son's sacrifice for his nation - to Move America Forward, for them to use in a national radio ad campaign.
You can hear the ad here: http://www.moveamericaforward.org/Link/audio/7452
Right now we're trying to raise enough money to purchase the time on radio stations around the country to make sure this message is heard.
Please, support this effort by making a contribution to help pay for the airtime for this radio commercial. I would be honored to have you help get this message out.

Jim, thanks a million for this fine post.
prayers be with them all.
I'd like to see "Joe Williams" and "Joe Wilson" in a room together...wouldn't THAT be fun!
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
John Stuart Mill English economist & philosopher (1806 - 1873)
God bless the men and women of the US and all coalition forces fighting the scourge of Islamic terrorism.

"Step forward now, you soldier, How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek? To My Church have you been true?"
The soldier squared his shoulders and said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns, Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent, Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny, That wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime, When the bills got just too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help, Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me, I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place, Among the people here.
They never wanted me around, Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here, Lord, It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much, But if you don't, I'll understand.
There was a silence all around the throne, Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly, For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you soldier, You've borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets, You've done your time in Hell."

It's the Soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press. It's the Soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It's the Soldier, not the politicians that ensures our right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. It's the Soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag.
thanks for posting that.
God Bless you sir, and your son. I give thanks for your service, and for your son's. I grieve with thee. Peace and Happiness ~ Pattie
It wasn't me. It was an e-mail that Jim Robinson forwarded from Joseph Williams. However, I agree with the sentiment -- all who serve and especially those who make the ultimate sacrifice for the cause of freedom deserve our honor and gratitude.
I also want to say that my own son Michael is about to Graduate from Marine boot camp on November 23rd as a PFC and I am so proud of him. I will not sit back and allow these INSURGENTS in our own country commit acts of Treason without calling as it really is in spite of the Liberal traitor news media that doesnt call them to account for their blatent lies and re-writing of history. They are trying desperately to divide this country and make it seem like we had no just reason to be there in the first place.People we need to wake up and fight back ,this is serious stuff here. We cant sit back and do nothing......if the demorats have their way we will withdraw and terrorism will grow in the Mid East like wild fire........God Bless and give to this worthy cause!!!!

If you want to see what the dispicable former president Traitor is doing these days. Just look on AL JAZEERA.net and see the Most emailed story on that website. And its still on the front page of the website at the bottom.
Honor the sacrifice of ours Sons and Daughters in the Military by Fighting back against the DEMORAT/MEDIA INSURGENTS in this country!!!!
I listened to the radio ad and was so moved I contributed right away -- something I rarely do.
Mrs. Johns says in a clear strong voice:
"I have a message to those who are wavering in their commitment to the war effort: We CANNOT withdraw our support from our troops or the mission in Iraq.
The terrorists know they cannot defeat our military.
They can only win by beating down the morale of the American people.
Let's show them, that won't work.
Let's pull together as a nation and show that WE ARE IN THIS FIGHT TO WIN."
This is the version I heard (which includes Joseph Williams's voice too): link to ad
President Bush started stressing the fact that this would be a long war, that would go on for years, almost as the Trade Center buildings were falling.
He KNEW support would falter because he saw it with his father.
I wish I could say I was suprised.
I have tried to teach my children that it is these kind of Americans that are the brave heros who deserve to be honored for our freedom...I have tried to remind them that it is these brave soldiers who have secured their freedoms...It was men like this and men like my dad at the age of 16 who fought for us. My dad was a child when he volunteered to fight the cause of freedom...I will never, ever let my sons and daugters forget that...Thank you dad!
Powerful letter, drawn from the heart.
It is a great and enormous pride that America is blessed with men and women of the highest caliber gifted with an exceptional spirit to stand firm and resolute on the front lines in the bloody battlefields defending Americans on the homefront as well as those who have been oppressed and brutalized by despotic tyrannical dictators.
God Bless your dear son, Mr. Williams. Your son is our Hero. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and my families heart for giving America a true and vitally bold and courageous patriot.

Blessings to your family for raising such a fine young man. May the Lord bless and protect your son as he heads off to Iraq on Wednesday. From one military family to another, thank you.
