Rule number one has to be "Stop repeating the false accusations of the left in your denial of them." I don't know how many times I see congressmen and senators repeat an allegation and then deny it. Stay on-message: lower taxes -- make'm permanent, less government regulation of legitimate economic activity -- including the manufacture and sale of gasoline, more strict constructionist judges. And most of all, keep the base energized and stop trying to appease people who will NEVER vote for a conservative, e.g., watch the Santorum campaign self-destruct. The next time a RINO, liberal, or xenophobe bemoans war, remind them that 35,000 or more Americans are sacrificed every year on our own roads and highways.
