the REPUBLICANS to come out and state over and over and over what the Pres has said

You're right, repetition is key. Redundancy is key. Bold support and bold criticism at the same time are key. This maintains people's focus....and it keeps his critics on the defense. And that applies especially to Republicans in Congress: Keep them on defense and stop acting liking a bunch of &$%!*)&* pansies. Sheeeesh!

They will all pretend they are important enough in the scheme of things that the President was attacking them personally. LOL

Great speech Mr. President. It is a very motivating speech regarding the war on terror in general and the war in Iraq in particular, and very important that the President finally exposed the lies of the traitors in the Democratic party. President Bush counter offensive against the traitors in our land has begun.

I made myself listen to CNN and couldn't believe the piling on. Same thing... The president is weak, blah, blah, blah. One commie tator said he had not refuted that he misrepresented the intelligence!

The MSM is just as dangerous as the terrorists.

I'm stuck in Taxachusettes and anytime Bush slams Kerry, no matter what the language, I'm thrilled. He did say 'Kerry', though. My ears pricked up at that! (I expect Kerry and Fat Teddy to come out and bluster about it later on today.)

Get a grip, Dave.

I could say that your defeatest attitude that we can't get around the media filter is whining.

I don't have the energy for someone like you who seems to think it's okay to let the lies stand about our troops and their mission either.

They are risking their very lives and you're defending the year long refusal by the right to take on those lies of the left by complaining about a media filter?

I have a little more starch in my shirt than that, thankfully.

That is the key to teaching children...repetition. :-)

In all honesty, this speech should have been given a year ago. He's let the lies continue for so long that they've percolated into the American consciousness. Some people will never change their minds now. Morale for the troops has been hurt and hurt badly. I do NOT understand the reluctance not to take to the airwaves and defend the policies of the administration, the war and condemn the lies on the left. It's a form of insanity, imo.

A year ago he was declared victor - by a 3 million+ vote margin - in an election that was essentially about only Iraq. Bush did defend his policies, and he did it pretty well.

But a good start. The President now has too consistently follow up this speech with the truth to combat the spin and lies from the Democrats and their main stream media allies.

Yep. And make no mistake, the Dims and the MSM know this, and the pushback from this speech will be fast and brutal. We have to make sure he doesn't feel like he's all alone out there fighting them and falter, and that's where we come in.

If the GOP wants to hang on to congress in 2006 they have to have big CONSERVATIVE turnout. If they want that to happen then the conservatives in congress need to go against the RINO's and start attacking the Dems head on.

The lies about the war have been percolating for a long time. They've gotten much worse since the election. Do you think that's a good thing?

This must be in breaking news. This is a very important speech in particular because it is the beginning of President Bush counter offensive against the traitors in the democrat party.

Admin: Can you please move this to breaking news. Thank you.

He's right about party discipline. The Dems have it and the GOP doesn't.

Since V.P. Cheney came out of his 'bunker' to lay the wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier today, I wonder what Bob Schieffer will say? He was on Lou Dobbs last night slamming Cheney for not being visible these past weeks (clearly 'Cheney was in that ultra secret bunker'), and even had the gall to say Bush was finally 'distancing' himself from Cheney, who had certainly known about Valerie Plame's job and discussed it in the WH, too. He talked about 'connecting the dots' and it was evident he was saying Cheney and Bush should be indicted and jailed. The anticipatory glee on his face was frightening...and this from our supposedly unbiased CNN reporters at a time of war.
